Newfoundland and Labrador is known for its colourful houses and friendly communities. The province has 2 main geographical parts - Labrador which is connected to mainland Canada, and the island of Newfoundland where the majority of the population live - however, the province also includes over 7,000 much smaller islands! Being an island in the Atlantic Ocean, the weather can be "unpredictable", but the landscape with deep fjords and high seaside cliffs will never disappoint! A simple hike along the coastline can show off 10,000 year old massive icebergs, whales and a variety of birds. Culturally you can explore Viking settlements on Newfoundland or experience Inuit culture in Labrador. Read more about everything Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer on their government website, or through the heritage site run by Memorial University of Newfoundland here!

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) provides a pathway to permanent residency through nominating applicants who meet the eligibility criteria of their programs. Targeting skilled workers, international students and their families, the NLPNP may nominate up to 1,050 applicant per year.
